1/2 lb. raw beef flank (or round) steak
1/2 tsp. chili powder
sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp. olive oil
1/2 medium red onion, coarsely chopped
1/2 medium red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
4 (6-inch) corn tortillas, warm
1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, salsa, avocado
Season steak with chili powder and salt and pepper (if desired). Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add steak; cook for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked as desired.
Remove the steak and place on a plate. Cover with foil for 5 minutes.
Add onion and bell pepper to skillet. Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes [or until onion is translucent] -- be sure to keep stirring. Remove from heat.
Slice the steak into small bite size pieces.
Assemble the tacos & dig in!
